Daily Food Collection activities are:

Summer Sunset Beach Island Collections; Gleaning from The Lord’s Miracle Acre; Collection Bins throughout the island; Contributions from local stores, businesses, individuals and a local bagel store.

Food Distribution:

90% of the food collected each week is distributed within 48 hours of collection.  At the end of each week, our shelves are empty and we start fresh each week.

Beneficiaries of A Second Helping-3G:

Brunswick Family Assistance; Beach House Recovery Center, Christian Recovery Centers Inc (both men and women’s recovery- Rose House), Hope Harbor Women’s Shelter, Seaside UMC Food Pantry; Brunswick County Homeless Coalition: Homeless and Homebound; Brunswick Senior Resource Center.

Immediate attention needs to be spent on helping the Homeless and Homebound in our community.

To accomplish this mission we have a team of about 60 individuals who gather food on a daily basis.

We are always looking for more volunteers as this ministry continues to grow.
