About Online Giving

Seaside UMC offers online giving as a quick, easy and secure option. Here you can give your tithe, support special ministries of the church or get involved with meeting the needs of the poor in our community through the food pantry. Use your debit or credit card or electronically transfer funds directly from a bank account, whichever is most convenient.

Giving FAQ’s

Will I receive a contribution statement?

If you give a one-time $250 gift during the year or provide an “Estimate of Giving” card during our financial campaign, we will automatically mail your year-end giving statement directly to your home address or via email if you prefer. If you give less than a one-time gift of $250 and would like a statement, please call the Church Office at 910.579.5753.

Is online giving secure?

We’ve contracted with Vanco Services to ensure that the giving process is safe and secure from beginning to end. All of your giving data is secured by SSL encryption. SSL is an acronym for “Secure Socket Layer”, a security protocol that provides communications privacy over the Internet. It is the same technology used by banks and e-commerce companies such as Amazon.com to keep your information safe and secure during transactions.

What are my online giving options?

We accept Visa and Mastercard or you can set up a direct electronic debit from a checking or savings account.

What is the advantage of Electronic Funds Transfer over Credit Card?

The church is charged a small transaction fee for credit card transactions (about 2.5% of each transaction).  There is no charge for electronic funds transfer.

Who do I talk to if I have more questions?

Contact the Financial Secretary, Wayne Matthews at 910.579.5753 or by email at wmatthews(at)seasideumc.org and we’ll be glad to answer any other questions you may have.

Giving Options

Seaside UMC is pleased to offer several convenient giving methods. Consider taking advantage of one of these easy giving options as you tithe and contribute:

1. Online Giving

This safe and flexible option is the easiest way to give at Seaside UMC! Here you can easily manage your giving amount and specify where the funds should be applied. Set up your secure giving profile and you can easily review your online gifts to the church and even donate using your smart-phone right from your pew.

2. Standard Giving Options

For your convenience, offering envelopes are available for regular giving and contributions in the pews. Simply place cash or checks (payable to Seaside United Methodist Church) in one of these envelopes and put it in the offering container during any weekend services, or mail it to Seaside UMC. If you have any questions concerning ways to give, please call the Seaside Church Office at 910.579.5753 or contact us via email.

How do I get started?

  • Visit our Online Giving Page (alternatively if you would prefer that EFT giving to be set up for you, download and return an EFT Authorization form to the church, to the attention of Wayne Matthews).

  • If you have not already done so, Click “Create Profile” to establish your secure online giving profile.  Be sure to record and remember your log-in and password for future reference!
(This process maintains your account information securely, allows you to review previous online giving transactions, and helps us to ensure that your online giving is properly recorded on your church giving statements.)

  • Log-in using your giving account email address and password

  • Select the fund(s) to which you are contributing

  • Select your “donation frequency”
If you are making a single donation, select “one-time.” If you wish to make a recurring gift, select “weekly,” “Semi-monthly” or “monthly.” (You will be able to  to edit or end your recurring contribution at will simply by logging in to your profile).

  • Select your “start date”
The “start-date” is automatically set for the current day unless you change it.

  • Select “Continue”
If you did not set up your selected payment method when you set up your profile, you will be directed to do this now.  For EFT transaction, you will be asked for Account and Routing Numbers which you will find on the face of your check.

  • Follow the prompts to complete your transaction.

  • Credit card transactions will offer you the opportunity to offset the processing charges with a slight increase in your gift.  Processing charges generally amount to about 2.5% of the gift.
