We are proud to announce that Seaside United Methodist Church STARS program was recently awarded a $2500 BEMC (Brunswick Electric) Community Grant. Kathy Duckworth, STARS Grant Chairperson and Meg Good, STARS Site Director, were on hand for the check presentation Wednesday, March 19th at BEMC Headquarters in Shallotte. As he presented Kathy with the check, BEMC Board Chairman Hubert Britton shared how proud BEMC was to support the STARS program in promoting literacy for children in Brunswick County. On behalf of the children and families that STARS will serve, we extend our gratitude to the BEMC Community Grant Program for their support.
