Say the word “Bake Sale” and delicious cakes, pies, cookies an other sweet delights come to mind, right? But what if we were to re-imagine what a bake sale could be? Three years ago, Seaside’s outreach committee decided to do just that. Instead of sweet desserts, we have entire meals, available a la carte, that will be available after each of our three services on Sunday, March 6. Looking for Fried Chicken? Brunswick Stew? The pastor’s famous Meatloaf? Lomie Lou’s Sourdough bread? We have all of these and more ready to be taken home for a mere donation. Proceeds go to the STARS program and to the Pastors’ Discretionary Benevolence Fund. STARS is a new literacy and summer enrichment program sponsored and hosted by Seaside UMC.
