Seaside Family,
Throughout the Season of Lent, we had been encouraging our congregation to write notes on sticky notes and place them all over the sanctuary. These notes were to be words of how God had been working in our lives through the Lenten Disciplines, as well as the way God had been blessing us and using us to bless others.
As we are unable to gather in person, consider this our place for “Digital Sticky Notes.” We would love to hear how God is working in and through you, even through times of uncertainty and even isolation. Simply scroll to the bottom or the page and use the comment box as your sticky note, and be sure to come back to this page to read the “Sticky Notes” from others!
Hi Seaside, this is a test comment, but also wanted to say how blessed I am to serve this wonderful family of faith. You are in my thoughts and prayers this Lenten season!
Dear Stefanie , pastor ,
Thank you for today’s message of comfort and encouragement!
Grace peace and love to you and pastor Francis!
Thank you for sharing your story and being a part of our Seaside family !
Continue to share the word as the Spirit enables you !
Still looking forward to a discussion on theology with you at some time in the near future hopefully!
Blessings to you , and tkankyou again !
God feeds each of us so we can feed others. We are truly blessed to be a part of a phenomenal Church family who continues to love and support one another. We see Jesus in each of you! Blessings, Peace and Love,
Randy and Sharon
So thankful to God for the many blessings He has bestowed on me, good health, wonderful family, and a blessed Church Family. Thank You Lord!
I’ve been one of those Christians Pastor Stephanie spoke about in today’s sermon. I’ve heard the Bible stories over and over; different churches, different denominations, yet never understood what a personal relationship with Jesus was. In the last several years of anxiety and fear, God has lead me to places and people I never would have met without His direction. Pastor Stephanie’s sermons speak to me like no other. Watching today’s sermon on my IPad was an amazing experience. It felt like she was looking into my eyes and sharing her words directly to me. Jesus loves me, this I know. Amen and praises to a Lord who watches over us all.
Randy and I enjoyed this morning’s service. Thank you for sharing your heart and words with us. Blessings, prayers, and love for our entire Seaside family.
Seaside, Stephanie and Francis have been have been such blessings to Mike and me as we have settled into our new part time community. The daily Lenten readings have really lifted our spirits during these recent frightening and uncharted days. The online devotions and sermons have provided “fodder” for our conversations. As a lifelong “church kid”, today’s sermon really hit home for me. Yes indeed, it is sometimes difficult to be intent, when hearing the same Bible stories over and over. Thank you Stephanie, for reminding me, that it is not so much the story’s content, as it is the listener’s reception of the story. God Bless
Thank God for Seaside, Pastor Francis and Pastor Stephanie. So thankful we are able to worship “together” today. Thank you for your messages of hope in these uncertain and scary times. I pray that all members of Seaside will weather this storm and we will be back together, for real, very soon. A Mighty Fortress Is Our God is one of my all time favorite hymns and it was difficult for me to sing it this morning without crying as I sang its powerful words. Be well and be safe. God Bless.
Little did we know when we started our “lenten exercises” several weeks ago how things such as all of us reading Mark and praying for individuals, would be so powerful and effective in the coming weeks. While the exercises were started with the purpose of bringing and keeping us closer together as a church family during lent (in addition to our corporate worship time together), God is using that, as well as the new “digital worship” led by Francis and Stephanie, to show us how to keep BEING His church even through changing circumstances. During this quarantined time God has given me/us time to slow down, focus on what is important, and be thankful for all the blessings He gives. While I miss gathering together for worship, I hope you feel, as I do, that God is showing how to gather in closer and more personal relationship to Him. And in the words of a song from the 23 Psalm cantata (which I’m quite sure we’ll perform when this is over) “We are not alone. We are never alone, God is with us forever and ever”. See you all soon.
Thank you for another great message today. We are blessed to have both of our Pastors, to lead us closer to Jesus. Thank you for taking the time to help us continue to grow. May God continue to protect and bless Seaside UMC and heal the world of this virus, and bring many who are still lost, to Him. Amen!
What a blessing this digital outreach to all of us has been during this time. Seeing you both and hearing your words to us has been a life line of connection as if we were together this Sunday morning. Stephanie your message from your heart to ours was a blessing indeed.
Great sermon. We all need reminders!!
Please pray for an end to the Corvid-19 and for all the people who have contracted it. May they all fully recover. Pray for Lee Booher who is having bypass surgery today. Sara and I enjoyed both virtual worship services. Praise God and blessing on our pastors as they keep us in touch.
In Jesus name,
Thank you, Pastor Francis and Pastor Stefanie for your online teachings. This entire Lenten program has brought me great joy. Even though we can’t be together physically, I’m feeling closer to several people just by praying or calling or texting with them. David and I are enjoying our commitment to God by reading our bible passages together in the morning (when possible). I’m thanking you for the ideas, creating a regimen with which to worship God while we are at home. This too shall pass. Until we meet again…. God bless us all.
Thanks, Francis and Stefanie, for your wonderful sermons the past two weeks–and every week! It was really good to SEE you both! Wanted to share a very positive experience I had today. A few volunteers and I did a drive-through food pantry today and served app. 25 families. Not only were they appreciative, but they were smiling, upbeat and full of praise and confidence in God. Their lives are often full of challenges I am fortunate enough not to have to endure, but they so often uplift and inspire me. Thank you, Seaside , for being very supportive of this outreach mission of our church. And thanks to all of our staff for everything you are doing and for being such a blessing always.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him.
-Romans 15:13
Dear faithful friends,
Yes. God is with us! God will never leave us or forsake us! Do not fear! All biblical assurances of God’s presence, protection, and saving power surrounding us. Jeremiah reminds the people, heading off to 70 years in exile, “I know the plans I have for you” declares, the Lord, “Plans for your welfare, not for harm, to give you a future with hope.” (Jer. 29:11) Exile. For nearly a lifetime. And yet, God promises a future with hope.
While God’s plans may not align with ours, we have a choice. Will we dwell in fear or anxiety or despair, or will we dare to trust in God, who has made all things possible?
Nothing feels “right” right now. News reports are scary and overwhelming. Life feels so full of uncertainty, but we are God’s people. Filled with human frailties, doubts, and fears? Yes, but we have a Savior, a Redeemer, one who died for our sins to put us back into right relationship with God. Thank you, Jesus, for your indescribable gift! He is RISEN! He is RISEN, indeed! Thanks be to God!
Let’s choose to worship, name and proclaim God’s goodness in our lives, reach out to others with words of hope and encouragement, and remember who and whose we are.
You and I have been blessed to be a blessing! As a faith family in the United Methodist Church, we pledge our prayers, our presence, our gifts, our service, and our witness. Let’s glorify God by living into these promises.
All to God’s glory!

Looking outside this morning I am reminded of the beautiful earth our Lord has given us. I love hearing the birds sing. It is Spring, and I have reason to rejoice in this time of the year. Even though we are quarantined we can look and be outside to welcome each day we are given. Thank you for all of life’s blessings.

Thank you for a heart warning sermon again. People need people, even when they think they don’t. Even more than that, people need Jesus! May God continue to bless and protect all of His children. Amen!
Wow that was amazing, thanks for sharing Doug!
Thanks for sharing Doug…beautiful.
I’m so thankful for my church. We’ve been through so much in the last couple of years, but God was with us. God truly has blessed our church and I’m so thankful for my church family.
I read a great quote the other week and in these times of social distancing the quote rings true.
“I LOVE GOD AS MUCH AS I LOVE THE ONE I LOVE THE LEAST”
I also have a new saying for our present situation
“BE MEDICALLY DISTANT BUT SOCIALLY CLOSER
Let’s not be socially distant, but be socially closer and aware of the needs all around us
How I miss my Seaside Family! May God be with each and everyone of you this Holy Week.
“This is the promise that He hath promised us, even eternal life.” – 1 John 2:25
Dear Father, teach me to give priority to the eternal values which make life worth living. Amen
Thank you so much for the continued online services! It was so calming and fulfilling to enjoy the Holy Week services from the safety of home. God Bless Seaside for keeping Easter alive for us!
I have been so blessed to have my church family during this time if quarantine. I have heard from so many of my church friends
calling to make sure I am alright. When you live alone it is such a good feeling to be assured other people care. What a loving God we have and what a loving church we have. I’m so proud to serve both.
