We are so excited for this year’s Vacation Bible School, “Rolling River Rampage!” We get to spend an amazing week sharing the love of God with kids in our community while together we discover God’s love on the river of life! Dates for this year’s VBS are June 11-15, 9:00 a.m. – Noon.
On Sunday, April 15th, we are hosting a VBS Volunteer Fair. Come to the Fellowship Hall for some S’mores, Trail Mix and of course, cake! Take a look at some of the fun things we will be doing, and meet Romper, the River Otter. Even more exciting than all of that, however, is that you have the opportunity to learn how you can be involved in serving our kids throughout this amazing week. Below are the positions and descriptions we need to fill. You can either sign up with us at the Volunteer Fair, or fill out the form below and secure your spot on the team today!
Recreation Leader: This individual is responsible for planning and implementing games for our Elementary-Aged Children. There is a book of game suggestions provided, and all supplies are provided by the church. Games are held in the Fellowship Hall so that weather (heat or rain) is a non-issue.
Recreation Assistant: Assists the Recreation Leader with the games in the Fellowship Hall.
Snack Leader: This individual is responsible for planning and preparing snacks for all children, Preschool-Elementary. There is a book of snack suggestions provided. Snacks are planned for 50 children.
Snack Assistant: Assists the Snack Leader with preparing snacks each day.
Guides: These individuals are responsible for guiding their group of rafters (6-8 students) to their various stations throughout the day. Each day begins and ends in the Sanctuary with teaching and worship. The rest of the morning is scheduled between Bible Story, Science, Recreation and Snacks. Schedules are provided for the Guides to follow.
Parking Lot Attendants: These individuals are responsible for end-of-day pickup. Just like school, parents pull up to the door one car at a time to pick up their student/students. Attendants are needed to ensure that this runs smoothly and that kids are placed in the parents’ vehicles safely.
Photographers: These individuals are asked to come one day in the week (Mon-Thurs) and spend about an hour or two taking photos during various sessions. Professional photography skills not required, just an iPhone or Samsung Galaxy will work just fine! Photographers are then responsible for getting the photos to Stefanie no later than Thursday morning of the week.
Cookie Bakers (or buyers): These individuals are asked to bring one dozen cookies for the Friday reception at noon of VBS week. Cookies may be dropped off anytime on Thursday or Friday before 10:00 a.m.
