On Monday, October 7, the United Methodist Women and United Methodist Men of Seaside UMC got together for their first ever joint meeting. Close to 100 members of the two organizations gathered in the fellowship hall for a presentation by the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office on the problem of human trafficking in our community and in our world. Detective Holly Locklear and Tina Edwards headed up the presentation. Afterward, a check was presented to the Brunswick Sheriff’s Charitable Foundation with an encouragement to use it toward the safe house for our area.
